FAQs
Don't worry, you're not buying a whole animal. You're simply buying all the cuts of meat from the cow – think everything from ground beef to ribeyes.
Quantity – not variety! With a cow share we are utilizing all the cuts on the cow, so you'll get the same cuts of meat just larger quantities with the whole share and smaller quantities with a half share. A whole cow will range from 380 pounds to 420 pounds, for size context. A half a cow share would be half of this.
Every rancher we are working with is raising their cattle with no antibiotics or added hormones ever, and never in a feedlot.
That is our intention! As we move off the waitlist, our goal is to give customers a choice through a rancher directory that shares the story of the rancher, the cattle, and how it was raised.
Pricing varies a bit by the size of the cow. For a whole share, it would start around $6,000 and half a share would start around $3,000.
