ButcherBox is on a mission to bring better meat and seafood to every table. This means that all of our meat and seafood is free from antibiotics and added hormones, and comes from partners that we have vetted for sustainability and animal welfare. In fact, we are the only B-Corp certified meat and seafood company that has third-party animal welfare certifications for 100% of our products - beef, poultry, pork, seafood, and more. Our subscription members get access to 100+ products that range from thick-cut steaks to gluten-free chicken nuggets, and they're all free of 200+ banned ingredients.
We offer a completely customizable subscription option in two sizes, where you can choose 6 or 12 products. You can change your selections for every order, up to the night before it bills, and members unlock a huge variety of additional products and limited time deals. Plus, we're almost always running a sign-up promotion that lets you pick a free protein to get for a year.
We work with small family farms and fisheries, farmer cooperative networks, and large partners across the country, in Iowa, California, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Nebraska, Alaska, and more. We never source from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). We source our 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef products from Australia because it has an ideal climate to support healthy grasslands where cows have access to pastured grasses their entire lives. We also offer USDA Choice pasture-raised, grain-finished beef that is born, raised, and harvested in the U.S. Our wild-caught seafood is caught off American coastlines, and we pride ourselves on having led the industry in protecting these precious natural resources. Our responsibly farmed salmon is raised off the coast of Norway and is certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council and Best Aquaculture Practice.
